Did you know that you can experience some of Granada’s most important historic monuments and hidden architectural gems for free? Below is a list of places that don’t cost anything to visit, or where free admission and guided tours are offered on certain days of the week.

Carmen do los Mártires

Visit for: Immerse yourself in a 19th-century estate with meticulous gardens, an atmospheric cave, statues, fountains and expansive panoramic views.

Open daily from 10 am to 8 pm; closed weekdays from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Visit for: Explore Granada’s rich history and traditions within the walls of a former fortress and palace.

Free on Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm.

Casa Museo Federico García Lorca

Visit for: Discover authentic souvenirs of Lorca at a unique location—his family’s summer home, nestled in the heart of Lorca Park. A particularly enchanting visit during spring.

Free tours on Tuesdays at 10 am, 10:45 am, 11:30 am.

Visit for: An amazing view of the Alhambra and shade-filled gardens offering a reprieve from the midday sun.

Free access daily from 10 am to 6 pm; closed weekdays from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Hospital Real

Visit for: Across from Jardines del Triunfo, this impressive building has a stunning courtyard and an ancient university library with study halls full of historic collections.

Open weekdays 8:30 am to 8:30 pm in accordance with the University of Granada calendar.
