Ool Ya Koo

Granada’s first jazz collective, Ool Ya Koo Cultural Association, recently moved to its new central location, just off Gran Vía. Named after Dizzy Gillespie’s 1949 song, Ool Ya Koo pays homage to one of the genre’s greatest musicians. Alongside its growing agenda of jazz concerts and jam sessions, the association runs music classes and workshops, a big band and a gospel choir for its members. Join the collective for 15€ a month to benefit from free entry to concerts and jams, discounts on masterclasses, and special drink prices. If you’re only in town for a few days and want to listen to good jazz, check out asociaciongranadajazz.com for upcoming events.
