Granada’s post-pandemic tourism boost has made way for the opening of several hotels in the city’s center, including the new five-star Palacio Gran Via, located across from the cathedral on the prestigious Gran Via de Colon. The hotel occupies the former Rodríguez Acosta Bank, built in 1905, and many of the elements and fixtures of the building’s previous incarnation have been preserved including the former bank’s safe and vintage teller windows that adorn the hotel’s lobby. If you’re not planning on staying in one of the hotel’s 38 rooms, which cost upwards of €400 per night, you can still experience this grandiose property while sipping a cocktail on its magnificent rooftop bar (open seasonally) or a glass of wine in the intimate and elegant lobby bar.
